Samsung Galaxy A36 5G (Dark Green, 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage)

Samsung Galaxy A36 5G – Dark Green, 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage

The Galaxy A36 5G is Samsung’s sleek mid-range 5G phone. It has a big, bright AMOLED screen, a versatile triple camera with optical stabilisation, all-day battery life and Samsung’s long software support. This Dark Green model has 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, so there’s plenty of room for apps, photos and 4K videos.

Display

The 6.7-inch (17.01 cm) Super AMOLED panel has Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2340, about 385 ppi). Its 120Hz refresh rate keeps scrolling and gaming smooth. Vision Booster and up to 1200 nits of high-brightness mode keep the screen readable outdoors.

Camera

The rear camera setup has three lenses:

• 🚀 A 50MP main camera (f/1.8) with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for sharper photos and steadier video
• 🚀 An 8MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.2) for landscapes and group shots
• 🚀 A 5MP macro lens (f/2.4) for close-ups

The 12MP front camera (f/2.2) takes clear HDR selfies. You can record 4K UHD video at 30fps and slow motion at 240fps. Camera modes include Night, Portrait, Pro, Pro Video, Panorama, Macro, Hyperlapse and Single Take, plus AI editing tools like Object Eraser.

Performance

The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a 4nm octa-core chip (up to 2.4GHz) with Adreno 710 graphics. It has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM for multitasking. Of the 256GB of storage, about 234GB is free to use. There’s no memory card slot, so the larger storage variant is worth it.

Battery & Charging

The 5000mAh (typical) battery gives up to 29 hours of video playback, according to Samsung. It supports 45W Super Fast Charging over USB Type-C. The 45W charger isn’t in the box and is sold separately.

Build & Durability

Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protects both the front and the back. The phone is IP67-rated against dust and water (lab-tested in up to 1 metre of fresh water for up to 30 minutes). It isn’t meant for beach or pool use. It weighs about 195 g and is 7.4 mm thin.

Software & Security

The phone runs Samsung’s One UI, which is based on Android. Samsung promises 6 generations of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates. Samsung Knox Vault (EAL5+ certified) protects sensitive data, and Samsung Wallet supports tap-and-pay. The in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock make unlocking quick.

Connectivity

It supports dual SIM (nano) with 5G, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax, dual-band), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS and USB Type-C with OTG. It has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack.
